PT_ Um dos pioneiros do graffiti na Catalunha: Werens, Ramon Puig. Artista catalão que passou mais de três décadas enchendo as ruas da Catalunha com cor e polémica. Artista formado em La Massana e na London College of Printing, viveu o momento em que surgiu o movimento graffiti europeu, resultante do movimento original do graffiti nos EUA. As suas obras de arte urbana estão espalhadas por inúmeras paredes em lugares tão diversos como Marrakech, Veneza, Berlim, Bombaim, Nova York, Londres, Lisboa, entre outros. Muitos já viram as suas flores brotar, também conhecido pelas abelhas futuristas. A verdade é que o graffiti de Werens emite, para além de estética, a denúncia e a exigência.

PT_ Serro Ventoso tem o nome de alguma coisa, o vento lá em cima é poderoso e é ele que modela as formas das rochas e a vegetação do lugar. Pintar com spray e vento é sempre um desafio, e o melhor é associar-me a ele, para que fosse o próprio vento a marcar o caminho das linhas e cores, criando uma pintura livre e volátil, com as cores suaves do ambiente. Como se o tanque mostrasse, o seu interior com um peixe nadando e pulando na água.

ENG_ One of the pioneers of graffiti in Catalonia: Werens, Ramon Puig. Catalan artist who has spent more than three decades filling the streets of Catalonia with color and controversy. An artist trained in La Massana and the London College of Printing, he lived through the moment when the European graffiti movement emerged, resulting from the original graffiti movement in the USA. His urban artworks are spread across countless walls in places as diverse as Marrakech, Venice, Berlin, Mumbai, New York, London, Lisbon, among others. Many have seen his flowers sprout, otherwise known as futuristic bees. The truth is that Werens’ graffiti emits, in addition to aesthetics, denunciation and demand.

ENG_ Serro Ventoso was named after something, the wind at the top is powerful and it is the one that models the shapes of the rocks and the vegetation of the place. Painting with spray and wind is always a challenge and it is best to associate with it, so that it was the wind itself who would mark the path of the lines and colors, creating a free and volatile painting, with the soft colors of the environment. As if the tank showed its interior with a fish swimming and jumping in the water.
